Musical Scholarship Program - Community Volunteer Hours
The Georgetown Choral Society has created an opportunity for Secondary and Post-Secondary students who like to sing to join our choir. Fees will be waived for as long as applicants remain a student.
Applicants will be invited to audition with the Artistic Director for this program.
Rehearsals take place Monday evenings, September through the first week of December, and the second week of January through April, at 7:30 PM at The Christian Reformed Church, 11611 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown.
- Compile your 40 hours of community service
- Free Membership for as long as applicants remain a student
- Professional choral direction
- Learn a variety of challenging choral works, from Classical to Broadway, Gospel to Pop
- Considering studying Music at University or College? Our Director will write letters of reference for applications or scholarships for those students who demonstrate musical talent and dedication.
- Observe career paths as Singers, Accompanist or Director
- Great experience to add to your resume
- Have Fun!!!
