Malle Sijmen de Wandelaar
We thought we would share with you this whimsical and humorous little piece performed by our Artistic Director, Christopher Dawes and GCS Chair Isobel Watkinson.
It is in two parts. The organ music, entitled “Malle Sijmen” is a 16th century Dutch organ piece, and the poem to accompany it, “Silly Silly Simon”, was written to recognize Simon Walker (on the left in the photo above) . He is a very talented musician who accompanied the GCS in several concerts while he was in Canada. Simon unfortunately for us, decided to return to England.
